I have been bilingual in art and English since nursery school and have been exploring the universal human things; love, sex, illness, divorce, marriage, children, death etc in these languages perpetually. I am running out of words, but the art never ends.

I use art to translate me and those around me into a visualisation of one small cogs place in the machine and continue to do so. This informs every waking and sleeping moment. I work across all mediums, I explore any idea this way. In the past, this has included everything from re-routing water claimed to be owned by ‘Thames Water’ back into the Thames to boiling an egg with words, action and music choreographed into a mathematical chaos symphony. I have painted personal struggle and joy, sculpted time and place and written formulas, short fiction and poetry that narrate reference points through psycho-sexual domains. My practice breathes the same air as Surrealism, is rooted in alchemy, chance and the automatic and references the unconscious, but occasionally draws back into representations of time, perhaps to play a part in a greater design.

I contribute to various publications; Patricide, Peculiar Mormyrid and La Vertebre et Le  Rossignol. As part of arts universal potential, I’ve used it to illuminate theories of recovery in one of my professional lives as a psychiatric nurse. The resulting film supported by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and agencies such as Artheads, Focus 12 and Turning Point, was screened at the 2015 Portobello Film Festival. I have also written about ‘outsider art’, drawing on first hand interviews with  artists working in this field, and challenging emerging corporate themes.

I now work as a full time artist and am preparing for exhibition opportunities and the continuation of the universal.
